Information to Know Before Your First Visit

The fee for the initial visit as a new Medcan patient is $189 and the return visit fee is $189. Patients typically return once every 6 months for renewals.

What to bring to your visit

1. Identification / Driver’s License
2. Medical records with diagnosis of your qualifying condition from your current physician
• Usually the most recent office visit and summary page is sufficient
• If you would like to fax your records, our fax number is (850) 222-2222
3. Payment (cash, card, check or money order)*
4. Filled out new patient packet

*Due to marijuana’s status as a Schedule One drug under United States law, this visit will not be covered by insurance or EBT.

COVID-19 Information

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Medcan staff have been taking precautions to ensure patient and staff safety. We currently have a walk up window for new patients and follow up patients that visit us at our office. Please bring a mask. Follow up appointments are generally telemedicine.

When you arrive, please stay in your car and call our office phone (850) 222-2226 to let us know. A member of our Medcan staff will walk out to your car and ask for the aforementioned list of items and documents. If you were not able to print the new patient packet, one will be provided for you to fill out.

After Initial Visit

After your visit, make sure to check your email for a message about your medical cannabis card application. To complete the application the Florida Department of Health requires you upload a picture of your identification/driver’s license and pay the $75 card fee.
